MW Bro. Daniel R. Olmsted
The Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan, whose mission is “To be the Fraternal Organization of Choice for Men in the Province of Saskatchewan,” is pleased to announce that Bro. Dan Olmsted was elected Grand Master of Saskatchewan Freemasons at their 114th Annual Communication in Regina on June 19, 2020. As Grand Master he will preside over the 2200 Saskatchewan Freemasons in 49 constituent Lodges.
MW Bro. Dan Olmsted was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan and joined the Freemasons at Azure Lodge No, 122 in Eastend, Saskatchewan. Through amalgamations he became a member of Swift Current Lodge No. 26. He is also a Wa Wa Shriner and member of the Swift Current Shrine Club, Royal Arch Mason with Unity Chapter No. 10 in Swift Current and an Eastern Star member of Mizpah Chapter No. 1 in Moose Jaw.
He has been married to Maxine for 37 years and they have two children, Dustin and Kaitlin. He is currently working for the Chinook School Division No. 211 and is still enjoying his career as Supervisor of Maintenance for the past 30 years.
